About Us

B&W Supply was founded in 1976 by Hoyt Benjamin Sr.  At the time he owned the Salty Dog bar located in Ithaca’s West End.  The Salty Dog would go on to become Castaways and currently the Dock.  Running the bar he noticed how hard it was getting the bar supplies he needed to operate.  He began taking orders from other local bars and driving to Syracuse to get the supplies.

All of this led to the creation of B&W Supply, which began on State Street in Ithaca.  In 1988, B&W moved to our current location on the corner of Route 13 and 3rd Street.

Since then Hoyt Benjamin Sr has retired and the business is run by his wife Becky Benjamin and two sons, Hoyt Jr and Chase.
